WHY US?

1) QUALIFIED, EXPERIENCED, AND DEDICATED TUTOR

The Tutor has demonstrated that mastery and success in Biology is fully possible via accredited learning strategies.

Employing his teaching and leadership experiences gained as numerous Key Appointment Holders in school and national assessments, and engaging current and key concepts in biological sciences, he has been able to help many of the tuition students under his care, improve from low grades (initial grades of ‘D’ and below, often ‘U’) to ‘A’ grade for H2 Biology in the final GCE ‘A’ Level Examinations. He explains that achieving a quality grade for H2 Biology is clearly possible from careful and customized guidance in using the Learning Model.

With first-hand experience as a former full-time JC form teacher and with an uncommon and exceptional academic background, he has related to the various forms of pressure that IP and JC students encounter, and addressed the learning difficulties and unlocked the academic potential of of his IP and JC students effectively.

2) CLEAR LESSON FORMAT

The Student and Parent shall receive clear information and instructions on the lesson plan, and what to prepare for every upcoming lesson.

3) OPTIMAL CLASS SIZE

The Tutor does not sacrifice quality learning results by accepting many students within a group.

Based on the Student’s learning needs, lesson format is kept to a one-to-one, and maximum group size of 10 to allow high level of interaction and cooperative learning on key academic biological concepts and answering strategies.

4) QUESTION PRACTICES

The student shall be performing concept review and applications via exposure to carefully selected representative questions, including those from past year preliminary and GCE ‘A’ Level Papers.

The Student shall progress from mastering questions organized in topics, to synoptic problems, where the Student begins to cross-reference concepts and answering techniques across the different H2 Biology topics.

5) FREE SOFTCOPY AND HARDCOPY MATERIAL

The Student shall receive selected complementary softcopy and hardcopy (Black-and-white only) material of quality related practice and assessment questions, answers, conceptual diagrams, and science articles.

Price of commercially purchased material (e.g. books) are not included in the Fees.

6) FREQUENT PROGRESS REVIEW

The Student’s concepts and answering techniques will be checked frequently during the lessons’ numerous verbal and written engagement, and periodical small tests.

7) PARENTS’ ENGAGEMENT

It is the Tutor’s conviction that parents play a paramount role in students’ learning.

Other than receiving information on the learning received by the Student, Parent and Tutor can also correspond directly with each other on learning progress and difficulties via email, so that a systematic mode of monitoring the Student’s progress may be kept.

The constructive understanding derived from such correspondences can be used to critically address learning needs or teaching processes, which shall translate to more effective andefficient learning for the Student.

8) CONVENIENTLY ACCESSIBLE SCENIC LOCATION

Lesson venue can be arranged at the student’s residence, or at the Tutor’s home or center near Ang Mo Kio MRT, which overlooks Bishan Park.

9) CONTACT ACCESSIBILITY

The Tutor provides the Student and Parent an avenue of communication should they have problems that require further attention outside lesson hours.

10) CONFIDENTIALITY OF STUDENT AND PARENT

All tuition matters pertaining to the Student and Parent shall be kept private and confidential.

11) EXCEPTIONAL RESULTS FOR FEE
